Welcome to Platform One Gallery run by Todmorden Art Group, a non profit group of local artists, artisans and craftspeople.
The gallery has recently had a complete redecoration of all walls, chosen to give a fresh new feel to both rooms. We think the chosen palette will complement and show off to full advantage exciting new works for the coming year.
Todmorden Art Group (TAG)
Todmorden Art Group is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to providing local artists and craftspeople both creative space and affordable exhibition rooms. Based at Platform One Gallery, Todmorden Railway Station, we are centrally located with disabled access.
Todmorden Art Group is organised and run by its members on a voluntary basis and is self financing.
The group run an Art Class on Tuesday afternoons, 1pm until 3pm, at a fee of £2.00 per session. We provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
There is an Open Exhibition each year in the Gallery.
During the first weekend in November we hold an Open Art Show in Todmorden Town Hall. Members help running this event is gratefully received.
Membership to the group is £12 per year.
Members are requested to attend monthly meetings and contribute to the group according to their own personal abilities.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. The minutes of the meeting will be emailed for your records – they can also be posted out if you have no email address, although this can be costly and naturally would affect our funds. It would be helpful if you could send or pass on any apologies for absence (AfA)
At our monthly meeting you are welcome to discuss any ideas that you feel would be beneficial to the successful running of the group.
There are eleven artists’ studios on the platform. These can be opened by arrangement with the artists. Please let Gallery staff know if you wish to be put on the waiting list for a studio.
Studio holders are required to assist with the running of the group and to attend monthly meetings in return for a subsidised rent.
